Busy...Busy....BUSY!!!!

Now, I told yall when I started that I wouldn't be good at keeping this going lol. Now that I have some down time I want to tell yall about some of my adventures or whatever you want to call it lol.

The last time I wrote a blog we had just finish Caden's birthday and OMGosh that was in OCT!  It is now Christmas....I KNOW RIGHT!  Where has the time gone!  Let me tell yall how my last few months have been....at least the memorable parts ;)

Well we had Halloween and Caden was a Ninja and Josh was Spider man.  My husband picked up the costumes with out me (he picked what the boys wanted...which is fine)...but he forgot that the kids where clothes under the costumes and didn't get one size up from what they wear lol....In any case they still fit and they just barely lasted the entire weekend full of fall festivals and what not...

By the way when did Halloween or fall festival get an entire weekend and sometimes TWO weekends.  I remember when I was young we did trick or treating only one night and it was around the neighborhood.  NOW....we have fall festivals at the church and trunk-r-treat.  I have fully jump on this....my kids do not go the traditional way of trick-r-treating (door to door).  It is way to dangerous out there for that...even if I am holding on to them lol.
OK...we got enough candy to last us the entire year! (and I take some to work lol)  The coolest thing I remember then beside my kids dressing up and having fun.  The weekend we had the fall festival at our church is the same weekend those Madison boys died.  While at the festival and watching the magician....the guy stop and said that GOD was the greatest magician of all and look what HE has done for us today....everyone turns and looks and this is what we all see....
God is so wonderful and always reminds us of HIS power!

Moving on....I have had some ups and downs the last few months....Granny went into the hospital for being dizzy and severely anemic...come to find out she had lost a lot of blood (it wasn't replenishing itself).  Anyways after all that with 4 bags of blood, 3 bags of antibiotics, and 3 bags of iron (somewhere around that lol) she was good enough to leave.
Around the same time my sister-in-law Ashley (her and my brother Rusty live in Hawaii) had her baby way early.  The baby (Titan) weighed over 5 lbs...so although he was over a month early he still had good weight on him and his lungs where perfectly fine.  Introducing Titan Rush Bates (only Bates to keep the name going)

We put Granny in a nursing home for rehab for around 20 days and with that Mom flew to welcome the new bundle of joy to the family.

In the mean time Josh finished up t-ball for MRYC and he loved it.  Caden stopped dance (hip hop and break dance) to do basketball.  We only let each child participate in one sport at a time...this helps we mine and Wil's sanity plus I want the kids to still be kids.  I want them to try everything at least once so they can make the decision as to what they like.

Moving on....between now and then...we have somehow found ourselves with two more dogs!  Now I can't remember if I have talked about the one we had before the two extras...His name is Hoss (hoss the boss as Josh likes to call him). That is putting it mildly...he really thinks he is the boss but when you have a dog that was as much as a human then what can we expect lol.  He is a great dane.  Here he his...

(Hoss giving me a hug lol)

The two extras we have now are Mike and Molly they are brother and sister and have been together since birth.  The people we got them from wanted to find someone who would take them both together....look no futher!  My husband jump on this opportunity because they were his favorite kind of dogs...Great Pyrenees!  Yeah that is right....THREE GREAT BIG OL' DOGS!!!  I mean really!  But I can't kid you we all love them...but I'm really thinking we need to buy some land if we are going to have three "horses" lol...introducing Mike and Molly (they are only 9 months old)...Molly

(Mike is all white)(Molly is on this side)

(Hoss, Mike, Wil, and Molly)

(Molly giving Wil kisses!)

One more thing....One more semester down!  Both classes A's!!

Next time...I will tell you some funny dog stories...well funny for yall not so funny to me! hahaha
Next Next time...I will also tell you about our Christmas because it will be the first time to go out of town for the holidays!

~The Most Amazing 6th Birthday~

Caden's 6th birthday was October 15th.  Wil and I had discussed early on about what we wanted to do for his birthday because we have to take in account all sides of his family.  After deciding that he really didn't need a party where people throw all kinds of presents his way...because if you know my children they pretty much have everything!  Wil pulled out is pocket schedule for Mississippi State Football.  By the way...We are HUGE fans of the Bulldawgs...as you can see.

Caden and Josh love going to the games and since there just happened to be a game on Caden's birthday we thought why not just have a "Bulldawg Birthday!" We had went to the previous game and the kids saw some children with their dads get on the field as honorary captains and Caden said that is what he wanted!

Wil and I knew that it was a long shot...but we didn't just give up there!!! Caden LOVES sports car so in case we couldn't do anything special at the game we were going to rent a Mustang to ride to the game in....And of course it had to be Maroon or White.  Wil ended up e-mailing just about everybody on the MSU staff asking if there was anything to be done for Caden's 6th Birthday because he is such a huge fan.

Email after email came back and they all had the same response...Honorary Captains are reserved for former players and the only thing we could do is pay $1000 to have Happy Birthday Caden put on the jumbo screen during the game.  I am sorry did I say it was $1000!!!  After seeing these e-mails we where giving up on the idea of getting on the field.

Until...one e-mail came back and said that she could get us pre-game sideline passes and for FREE!!!!  You are talking about excited parents much less excited kids!... OK OK so the kids didn't really understand at first lol

SO let me now start telling you how we ALL had the best 6th birthday ever! :)

The game was an early game therefore we got up about 5 am to get everyone dressed and the truck packed up.  We arrived in Starkville around 9:05 am.  When we pull up Wil says, "I don't know if we will be able to make the "DAWG WALK" but lets try!" (for those who don't know the Dawg Walk is where the fans line the sidewalks and the Coaches and Players walk as they are giving high fives and fans are ringing their cowbells and this all starts 2 hours before the game).

We made it just in time and because it was an early game it was not as crowded as normal around the sidewalk.  We got the kids right up front.  As part of Caden's presents from Wil and I and also his Halloween costume now...was a helmet and jersey.  Of course he was wearing that!

After the Dawg Walk....we talked with some friends then headed to the "kids zone."  We didn't have much time to waste before we had to meet Mrs. Simmons with the passes.  The kids wanted to jump in the space jumps but the lines where too long and we didn't have time.  But to our surprise the line to take pictures with the mascot Bully and the bulldog "Champ" was short, therefore we got in line.  The people before us where the last people to have the mascot Bully in the picture because he had other events to attend.  We were kinda bummed about this but we still wanted a picture with Champ.  Josh and I got to hold on to Champ's harness and we all got down into the pose.  All of a sudden Champ decided to slick and slobber all over Josh's face (I guess getting all the left over food on his face lol).  It was great and Josh loved it but unfortunately they didn't take a picture of that.  Champ got in trouble and we finally took the picture....

After the picture we went straight to the Prospect Gate to get our sideline passes.  Needless to say we received a lot of stares from the parents and future players...I guess wondering why we had our little ones already going through the prospect gate lol.  We met with Mrs. Simmons and she gave us a tour of the field and introduced us to just about everybody that was somebody.  We all where just enjoying ourselves to the fullest!...Hope you enjoy the pictures hehehe these are just a few.

About 15 minutes until game time we decided we should go get into our seats and get some lunch.  We enjoyed watching the game because it was a close one.  All of a sudden right before the 3rd quarter a girl came up to Wil and ask if one of our sons would like to play in the "race car game" during one of the breaks.  I started going crazy with excitement!  "Of course it is my son's birthday HE wants to do it!!!!" So I took Josh and Caden with me back on the field!  Caden put on this big fire truck shirt and cheered for his car to win....

He didn't win but he got a car anyway!  It was amazing! We ended up leaving when the game was over and even though we lost none of us cared because we had such an amazing time!!!! When we got home we grilled out and played games.

I told Caden that this was the best birthday any of us has ever had!!!!  Now I don't know how Wil and I will ever top that!! (thanks to this special lady!)...

Until the next adventure....
